Energica EGO looks very closely tied with traditional sport bikes, while the engineering and care for details definitely stands out.

Energica motors in Italy is leading the way with being the very first to manufacture electric motorcycles in the county. The results are more than we needed for proof that this relatively new brand is here to stay. The design looks very closely tied with traditional sport bikes, while the engineering and care for details definitely stands out.
The Energica’s Ego and Ego+ are two versions, a moderate Ego for more standard rider needs, while the Ego+ is it’s boosted brother. The Energica Ego reaches a top speed (electronically limited) to 150mph (240kmh) and weighs 570lb (260kg), and pushes out 215Nm of torque. This is supported by a great battery pack of 21.5kW. Yes, it’s a beast, and this beast will take you from 0-60mph in just about 2.8 seconds – that’s just straight up FAST!

It comes fully equipped with great superbike features, like Brembo breaks, carbon fiber all over, ultra premium Ohlin suspension and even optional heated grips. It lives up to it’s offering, being a real track bike, with beautiful Italian design and care for details.

Now, let’s talk about the range. Energica EGO+ gets a City range of 400 km – and a Combined range of 230 km. If you take it to Extra-Urban, and really stretch the limits, it will go for 180 km. The EGO version is slightly under that with a City range of 200 km, a Combined range of 160 km and Extra-Urban at 130 km. All of which are quite good accomplishments.

Every small detail on the Ego shows the craftsmanship of this Italian brand, from dashboard features like TFT Colour Display, integrated GPS receiver and Bluetooth communication, 9 warning lights, Ambient Light Sensor; Real Time Clock, all the way through to Battery monitors, Traction control, and cruise control options.
