Ideanomics Analyst Day Unveils e-Mobility Vision Following the Acquisition of Energica Motor Company

Growth Ahead! Ideanomics Analyst Day reveals the vision and plan following the acquisition of Energica Motor Company.

Ideanomics held a press day and analyst day on April 11, 2022, at the NASDAQ Market-Site location in New York City, soon after the company’s March announcement that it had completed the acquisition of Energica Motor Company.

Ideanomics and Energica both shared a vision for the future and how Energica fits into the broader mission of Ideanomics. Now completing the company’s purchase, Ideanomics and Energica showcased the line-up of Energica electric motorcycles, including the Energica EgoEnergica Eva Ribelle and Energica EsseEsse9.

These line of motorcycles have long been of the top tier options for electric sport-bikes, with Italian engineering, huge emphasis on performance, and years of MotoE racing. The company has led the field in performance bikes and established several partnerships allowing them growth in many additional fields, from light vehicles, to other spaces like nautical propulsion.

In addition to this, the Energica Inside Business Unit has launched projects in Asia and America. “Energica Inside” aims to be a disruptive venture, with goals to pave the way in a number of industrial sectors that the company can expand to.

The event, themed “EVolving the Road Ahead”, started with a ride on the Energica motorcycles by Ideanomics’ Executive Chair and Energica US CEO, to symbolize the Italian and American companies coming together in the iconic location of Times Square.

As a result of this acquisition, Ideanomics is uniquely positioned to benefit from the increasing demand for electric, two-wheeled vehicles”

Energica’s high-performance electric motorcycles, growing dealer network and powertrain applications will allow us to leverage vehicle applications across other Ideanomics companies and customers, while supporting the next phase of growth for Energica.”

Shane McMahonexecutive chairman of Ideanomics.

Carlo IacoviniGM of Energica Inside, touched on the company’s goals for 2022 and formally introduced the market to Energica Inside – a new business unit dedicated to the development and production of powertrains, battery assembly and technology for electric vehicles. Energica Inside is positioning itself as the gateway to the electric transition in multiple industries, bringing Energica’s decade of experience in electric mobility.

Energica is a well-established company that brings much to the table now that it is under the Ideanomics umbrella,”

Their technologies and solutions will support product development for our other operating companies and our combined supply chain buying power will improve access to components and batteries so we can build more Energica bikes faster...”

Robin Mackie, President of Ideanomics Mobility.

At Energica, we are excited to support Ideanomics’ range of electrification solutions in order to create a global power player in the EV space across multiple verticals”

Our bikes have more power, torque and range than our competitors, and with our competitive price point, we are uniquely positioned to capture a large percentage of 0-emission motorcycle enthusiasts…” “…we will work hand in hand with other Ideanomics operating companies to develop new technologies for powertrain components and modular powertrain systems.”
