Tacita T-Cruise Urban – the new era for electric cruisers is here.
Tacita motorcycles Italy are well known for their quality product line that includes everything from Cross, Enduro, Touring and Cruiser. They have contentiously shown great designs, powerful bikes, and Italian quality. One of the things that stands out for Tacita is the variety of options that can be fitted to any model, for longer range and better speed, or more moderate needs.
The T-Cruise Urban is a great cruiser design, that sticks to traditional lines. It comes fitted with a PMAC motor in varied power selection, from 11kw, 22kw to 34kw and the biggest 44kw – an equivalent to about 15, 30, 45 and 60hp respectively. That’s power that pushes 60Nm of torque on the 22kw motor, and up to 100Nm on the 44kw. That’s good power and torque without a doubt.
Tacita doesn’t spare anything on specification, and again, with the battery pack, the rider can custom fit the T-cruise Urban to his needs. It comes with a selection from batteries starting at 7.5kWh, 9kWh and 18kWh – to fit the 11kw motor model. The larger motor T-cruise Urban come with batteries of either 9kWh or 18kWh as expected from the bigger motor need. That helps maintain range and power.
The Tacita development team has developed a Tacita gearbox of 5 gears, which also helps optimize power usage and claimed to increase ranges. The T-cruise Urban can get a range of 135 miles (220km), and you can also use regenerative breaking to juice it back up.
Tacita did a great design, with classy lines of a cruiser that doesn’t pretend to be what it isn’t. It’s very clear the T-Cruise is electric, that always comes to show in their designs, and this is a great piece of art in my eyes. Black and chrome on sides, the three power lines going across it, and seat position looks ready to take on long rides with comfort.
Tacita has competitive prices just as they do competitive technology. The T-Cruise Urban comes at a starting price of only €10,645 for the smallest 11KW motor and 7.5kWh battery. Then you have different packs of 12, 13, 16, 17 and up to €19,252 for the largest 44kw with 18kWh battery. That’s around $22,780 and from the return on this great T-Cruise, that’s seems very reasonable to us.
