Harley-Davidson’s Electric Motorcycle Brand Expands its Reach with the Launch of LiveWire ONE in Europe
LiveWire, the electric motorcycle company spinoff by Harley-Davidson, has announced its expansion into Europe with the launch of its LiveWire ONE model. This move is part of LiveWire’s geographic expansion strategy and the electrification of motorcycling around the world.
LiveWire ONE is a soulful electric motorcycle that offers a new experience of speed and sound. It has an impressive range of over 140 miles in the city and over 90 miles of mixed highway and city range. The LiveWire ONE can reach 0-100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds, thanks to the 15.4 kWh pack that powers the bike. The motorcycle comes equipped with a full suite of advanced rider safety aids for traction control and ABS, using a 6-axis IMU to adapt to a variety of skill levels and riding styles.
LiveWire ONE will be available in three colors – Nimbus Gray, Nightfall Blue, and Liquid Black. The motorcycle will be available for a deposit of €100, and deliveries are expected to begin in April 2023. LiveWire will manage the reservations, offering a digital-first model where consumers can interact directly with the brand, choosing color, accessories, delivery timing, and their preferred retailer.
LiveWire ONE provides two charging methods as standard equipment, making it easy for riders to charge their motorcycle. Level 1 charging is ideal for overnight charging, while DC Fast Charge is perfect for rapid charging, with times as short as 30 minutes in a 20% to 80% charging scenario.
With over thirty retailers across Europe, LiveWire customers will receive support from specialist EV capabilities to ensure they get the most out of their electric motorcycle. “All LiveWire ONE motorcycles are assembled at Harley-Davidson Vehicle Operations in York, PA,” LiveWire announced in a press release. The electric motorcycle is priced at €24,990 in Germany, €25,290 in France, €25,390 in the Netherlands, and £22,990 in the United Kingdom.
