Harley Davidson announces the LIVEWIRE ONE as the First Model from the New LIVEWIRE all electric brand.

Harley Davidson LIVEWIRE ONE

The spinoff to a new Harley Davidson brand and introduction of the first model renamed Livewire ONE.

After months of progress by Harley Davidson, the company now officially unveils the new LIVEWIRE brand, and the LiveWire ONE to be the first of the brand’s models. Although this is not a new model, the spinoff represents a new direction for the company into the electric 2 wheel space.

This comes after Harley Davidson announced a clear 5 year “Hardwire” plan, as the company set out to win the hearts of younger consumers, which have ever increasing desire in electric motorcycles over ICE.

After the appointment of Ryan Morrissey as Chief Electric Vehicle Officer (CEVO), the announcement came for a complete spin off of the Livewire name to the all electric motorcycle brand of Harley Davidson.

The LiveWire ONE, will actually have similar specifications – so the announcement mostly involves brand positioning. Despite that, the new Livewire website offers consumers an experience dedicated for electric mobility, and a custom builder allowing you to make the bike your own.

With an initial focus on the urban market, LiveWire wants to “pioneer the electric motorcycle space, and beyond.” Starting at $21,999 USD, the LiveWire ONE also offers additional customization kits upping the price to $24,599.

Of the two kits, the Radius Carbon Fiber Kit which includes various carbon parts and installation, from tank strap to speed screen through tail cowl and the transmission and brake covers. The Rizoma Precision Billet Kit offers different footpegs, handgrips, mirrors and more.

Harley Davidson plans to have the new model available in international markets starting 2022.

“As part of The Hardwire Strategy, we made a commitment that Harley-Davidson would lead in electric. We recognized the pioneering spirit and brand value in LiveWire for our community and took the decision to evolve the original LiveWire motorcycle into a dedicated EV brand. Today’s LiveWire ONE builds on the DNA of Harley-Davidson but with the electric focus and ambition of the new LiveWire brand.

Harley-Davidson and LiveWire will continue to rewrite the motorcycle rulebook and we are excited about this next chapter in our legacy.”
