Damon Motors Receives 2021 Fast Company World Changing Idea Award

Damon Motors selected for “Honorable Mention” in Transportation category for their HyperSport electric motorcycle.

Damon Motors has received a 2021 Fast Company World Changing Idea Award. The company was given recognition with an “Honorable Mention” in the Transportation category for its flagship Hypersport superbike. The Hypersport is in fact one of the world’s fastest, most powerful, and technology driven electric motorcycle.

The Fast Company World Changing Ideas Awards honored the businesses, policies, projects, and concepts of Damon Motors, and their commitment to pursuing innovation. This Honorary mention is the second award for Damon Motors and their Hypersport, after receiving recognition in the Green GOOD DESIGN Award 2021.

Damon Motors was selected from thousands of entries worldwide, the largest number of applicants ever received for the World Changing Idea Awards. Honorees were selected by Fast Company’s editors and writers that were looking for the products, concepts, companies, policies, and designs that pursue innovation for the good of society and the planet.

The Hypersport electric motorcycle:

The top model is the limited HyperSport Premier Edition, which carries all of the best features like Brembo breaks, Öhlins suspension, a single sided Swing-arm and of course the largest battery packs of all models, with 20kWh.

With that, all of the HyperSport motorcycles will use a 160kW (peak) motor, with their main differences being the HP output. The Damon SX gets 150 HP, compare to 200 HP on the HS, and 100 HP on the SE model. The battery is another variation that allows the price range to drop significantly. The SX comes with a 15kWh, or an even more compact 11kWh for the SE model. The HS and Premier models both have a 20kWh pack, which is not only large, but charges back very fast.
