Husqvarna has announced their EE-5 model back in mid 2019, The EE-5 has the potential to put them in line with other all electric manufacturers when they feel time is right. We would love to see more models from Husqvarna, and it seems that that will be the case for the years to come – but we’ll cover that on other news stories.

The EE-5 is a comparable version of a 50cc dirt bike, and it performs just as great with handling, suspensions and let’s not forget – it’s an all electric. Being that Husqvarna are quite famous for their 2 stroke engines, throughout their site, the comparison is evident to those 50cc 2 stroke models.

“The EE 5 produces a peak power output of 5 kW – much the same as its 2-stroke counterpart.” Husqvarna.

The EE-5 is quipped with a 48 V electric motor, pushing an equivalent of 6.7 hp, or just about 1kWh. That’s a thrust of 13.8Nm of torque. That would only last you for about 45 minutes of extreme riding in rough terrain, or about a two hours of ride for beginners. It may not sound like much, but it is still a motocross bike for fun rides in trails and dirt paths, which it functions very well on.

Charge time will only take 45 minutes to reach 80% or 70 minutes for full battery, and you can head right on back to the track. It stays loyal to the traditional designs from Husqvarna, with central tube frames, fiberglass-reinforced plastic sub frame,
