Pursang E-Track – the result of a revived motocross brand that stopped production in ’84, only to become an all electric motorcycle brand in 2018.

Pursang E-Track is the remaking of the brand and offering a new vision for its future. The E-track has a great look, cased in carbon lamination and partial fairing, and has a look similar to a flat track motorcycle. E-track offers medium power, range and top speed. Pursang is taking reservations at a starting price of about $16,100 (from 13,700€).

The Pursang brand name might be familiar to older folks, with what was a great motocross model by Bultaco Motorcycles, that had ceased production back in ’84 after only 17 years. The Pursang was originally a 250cc off-road competition model that was quite competitive in high-speed off road racing. The revival of the Pursang as an E-motorcycle brand was first presented in 2018 EICMA motorcycle show.

“The Spanish company was born in 2018 in Barcelona as a result of the ambition of Jim Palau-Ribes and his desire to anticipate mobility trends by providing an electric motorcycle that still has attractive aesthetics and fun, dynamic performance.Pursang

Pursang E-track packs an 11kW motor, paired with the 7.2kWh battery pack, which is in fact a 3X pack of 48V batteries. That may not be the heavy-weight on the block, but it pushes good power and speed for its motorcycle bracket. The E-track gets to a top speed of 75mph (120kmh) and gets 87 miles of range (140km), giving it an overall specification that puts it well positioned in its class bracket. Although price wise it wouldn’t be the cheapest choice, it has a unique style of its own.

The Pursang E-track is carbon laminated, with a tubular chrome-molly chassis, packing this mean looking motorcycle. The front suspension is a 41mm inverted fork, adjustable damper rear suspension, and a good sturdy wheelbase of 1437 mm. The E-track charge up time will take you just 6 hours.
