Hero MotoCorp and Zero Motorcycles Join Forces to Electrify the Motorcycle Industry
Hero MotoCorp, the largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer in the world, has partnered with Zero Motorcycles, a leading Californian-based manufacturer of premium electric motorcycles and powertrains, to collaborate on a new line of premium electric motorcycles.
Zero Motorcycles is know for its premium electric motorcycles and powertrains as a global leader in the electric motorcycle industry. Zero Motorcycles combines Silicon Valley technology with traditional motorcycle soul to elevate the electric motorcycling experience. On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp is the largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer in the world, with a significant presence in over 40 countries across Asia, Africa, and South and Central America.
Hero MotoCorp has an extensive track record of manufacturing high-quality and reliable motorcycles and scooters to customers for nearly four decades. With the collaboration between Hero MotoCorp and Zero Motorcycles, the two companies bring together their expertise and experience to deliver premium, sustainable, and fun electric motorcycles to riders around the world.
This collaboration combines the expertise of Zero in developing powertrains and electric motorcycles with the manufacturing scale, sourcing, and marketing of Hero MotoCorp. In September 2022, Hero MotoCorp’s board approved an equity investment of up to $60 million in Zero Motorcycles, which has a reputation as a global leader in electric motorcycles and powertrains.

Under its emerging mobility brand, VIDA, Powered by Hero, the company has already launched its first EV, the VIDA V1 scooter, and has initiated operations of its public charging infrastructure in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Jaipur. The company has already set up nearly 300 charging points across the three cities for public use.
