Tromox Ukko S, first revealed in CIMA Motor Show 2021, already marks its first award win – The prestigious iF Design Award 2022.
Tromox Ukko S, the newest electric motorcycle from the Chinese manufacturer, was named one of the top winners of the iF DESIGN AWARD 2022 in the automobiles/vehicles category of the prestigious design award.
Tromox, the China based startup, first released their Ukko electric motorcycle at the 19th China International Motorcycles Trade Exhibition (CIMA Motor Show 2021). The Tromox Ukko S, with its 100% electric feature, unique design and superior performance, won the hearts of the 132-member jury among almost 11,000 submissions from 57 countries.
As an arbiter of quality for exceptional design, the iF Design Award is one of the most prestigious design prizes in the world. In addition to its social impact and design concept, the Tromox Ukko S was recognized for its differentiation from similar products.
Tromox Ukko S is designed to enable urban riders to traverse the city and pursue riding in the suburbs in a green and eco-friendly way, in a move towards sustainability. Its distinctive and stylish appearance and social networking features are also why Tromox Ukko S is in line with the future trend of mobility-technology and became desirable by global young riders.
Tromox Ukko S Specs:
A mini-bike just slightly bigger than it’s young sibling, the Tromox Mino. Featuring a larger mid-mounted motor with rated continuous power of 4kW and rated peak power of 7kW. That translates into a max of around 9.5HP.
A belt-driven motor with up to 203 Nm of torque, pushing this electric mini bike to a top speed of 62 mph (100 km/h). In addition, with just 4.2 seconds, the UKKO S is claimed to hit 100 km/h, impressive for its size. The UKKO is claimed to climb a 22° slope easily, with a battery pack of 3.96kWh (72V/55Ah) , and fast charging presented by TROMOX in the CIMA expo. It can charge the battery from 0% to 80% in only 45 minutes.
Though the UKKO is somewhat larger than the MINO, its seat height is still just 76 cm (29.9 inches). Tromox states that smaller riders can fit on the bike easily, even if they are only 160 cm (5’2″).
