KYMCO release the official video and release the specification for their beautiful looking maxi scooter
With much exitment, after a year of event cancellations and delays, KYMCO followed the lead of other manufacturers, and had an online unveiling of their upcoming models.
The first KYMCO electric will be a maxi scooter, with a two speed automatic transmission, great looks, and pretty decent technical specs to it. The F9 looks to be a great urban, with a mid-size powered motor.
The KYMCO F9 will be equipped with a 9.4kW motor, BLDC, pushing 30Nm of torque. It has a light curb weight of only 107 kg, and nice and wide wheelbase of 1236mm. The motor is powered by a fixed battery, 96V 40Ah, which is right about 3.84kWh – impressive juice for a maxi scooter.

This is a much anticipated announcement for a large traditional manufacturer. KYMCO has a good fan base that follows their scooters for their relighability and quality, and many electric riders were waiting to hear more news on large traditional manufacturers following the likes of Harley Davidson, and their LiveWire.
