Ösa design by Cake – the Swedish Stockholm motorcycle wins the German-Design-Award

Cake is not a stranger to the German Design Awards, they have been nominated and selected as winners in past years, and once again they make it to the podium. The Ösa design won the category for excellent product design in the utility vehicles category. The award is highly respected, as the council of these awards are considered a high authority on design progress in Germany. They focus on game changing designs, locally and internationally, that can impact and expend commercial success.

Stefan Ytterborn, founder and CEO of CAKE, commented on the win: “Being recognized and rewarded by the vehicle industry is among the most gratifying highlights for us – a bunch of people from the ‘outside’ with our roots in gravity sports” ; “With the goal of transitioning society toward zero-emissions, we are determined to combine excitement with responsibility and to develop new electric motorbikes for leisure as well as for efficient transportation. We are honored to be noticed by the German Design Council and the Automotive Brand Contest for these efforts.” (Cake press statement)

Cake motorcycle designs are unique and appealing, no doubt. They keep clean lines and bring great attention to details, while delivering on each product at the highest levels. In addition to that, it gives real back wind to the company’s overall vision of reducing emission levels worldwide, a great and noble cause we completely support.

The Cake Ösa model was already recognized by several design awards like the Automotive Brand Contest, Red Dot Design Award 2020 and now another well deserved award.
