The BMW CE 04 Police version premiered at Milipol 2021, as the electric scooter takes on uniform.

BMW Motorrad presented in Paris the BMW CE 04 and the BMW F 900 XR in an official version for the police, developed in a cooperation with BMW Motorrad Netherlands.

The new BMW CE 04 in police version: Future-oriented, sustainable e-mobility for the city and urban areas.

In a tailor made ‘special authorities’ version of the BMW CE 04 electric scooter, which was first presented a few months ago, the electric scooter will offer flexible options and a high level of operational expertise in urban areas. The CE 04 police scooter takes on a look of the future, while being a utility vehicle with increased storage that it already had plenty of.

BMW Group sees the new CE 04 as a forward-looking component of the sustainability strategy of the company, while keeping focus on the pleasure of riding.

Over the past years and decades, significant standards have already been set in the BMW vehicle eco balance – starting with the resources used, through energy consumption, to the share of recycled components.

The design of the CE 04 is futuristic to begin with, full of sharp lines and edges, floating panels and more. The additional single side storage box, adds to the looks. The rest of the bike took on the police uniform, and enjoys the extra storage for utility. This comes in addition to the under seat compartment that can hide away a helmet.

The CE 04 runs on a nominal 15kW and maximum output of 31 kW (42 hp), with 0 to 50 km/h time of just fast 2.6 seconds. The top speed of 120 km/h enables fast riding not only in the city, but also on the highway.

The BMW CE 04 electric scooter has a battery pack capacity of 60.6 Ah (8.9 kWh), running a range of around 130 kilometers. This makes the CE 04 a great daily commuting and use in urban riding environment.

With the quick charger available as an optional extra (output of up to 6.9 kW, 2.3 kW is the standard level), charging time is drops to just 1 hour and 40 minutes from a completely flat battery. Charing from 20% to 80%, the charging time s just 45 minutes with the optional quick charger.

The ride also offers three riding modes, “ECO”, “Rain” and “Road” for efficient, day-to-day use as standard. Featuring the three riding modes “ECO”, “Rain” and “Road” as standard. The additional “Dynamic” riding mode is also available as an additional selection option, enabling the scooter to accelerate even faster.

Special optional equipment for the authorities versions of the new BMW CE 04:

• LED flashing lights front and LED beacon in the rear.

• Authorities case.

• Siren.

• Additional switch for controlling the light and sound signal components.
