HOP Electric reveals HOP OXO motorcycle in beta-testing program #OXOSNEAKPEEK

Ahead of launching it’s highly anticipated electric bike, the HOP OXO, HOP Electric Mobility has started a closed-loop beta-testing program dubbed #OXOSNEAKPEEK. The program utilized selected dealer partners across India for beta-testing. Hop electric sets up a new precedent by extending the testing program to their dealers and consumers to gain valuable insights.

Just 3 weeks after their first teaser, HOP electric unveils the looks of their OXO electric motorcycle, a high-speed electric that will run on a hub motor, expected to reach a top speed of 100 km/h. The unknown battery size, is planned to support a range of 93 miles (150 km) on a single charge.

The program launch will mark a cooperation between HOP’s R&D team and program dealers, to closely monitor and incorporate valuable inputs throughout this trial and testing, wherever possible. #OXOSNEAKPEEK is designed to better understand consumer requirements and bring a more personalized approach to the company’s upcoming products.

HOP OXO is currently a real buzz generator for two-wheelers in the Indian electric vehicle market. The bike is symbolic of HOP’s vision to offer best-in-class, eco-friendly and affordable transportation facilities.

Ketan Mehta, CEO and Co-Founder of HOP Electric Mobility, said, “Even if the products are developed by engineers and designers in studios and labs, insights from dealers and consumers are extremely crucial. We are thrilled to announce HOP Electric Mobility is the first Indian EV player to initiate consumer trials. With the #OXOSNEAKPEEK program, we are getting direct feedback and suggestions from selected partners. In addition to the intel we have gathered by conducting more than 30,000 km on-road internal testing across India, these inputs will prove pivotal in launching products that fulfil the requirements of modern-day customers.

HOP Electric Mobility has already clocked more than 30,000 testing kilometers across 20 major cities in India, including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Patna, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ludhiana and many more.

HOP has also launched an advanced HOP Megaplex to manufacture in Jaipur. Supporting its Atma Nirbhar Bharat (“self-reliant India”) commitments, the brand has increased its manufacturing capabilities up to 180,000 units/year to develop a modern and stylish ‘Made in India’ electric two-wheelers. The company’s Megaplex is currently producing the popular HOP LEO, HOP LYF scooters by HOP.

Added to this line-up, are the soon-to-be-launched HOP OXO, and HOP’s generation upgrade of LYF (internally named LYF2.0). Currently producing 100 electric scooters a day, delivering across 55 locations from HOP’s Megaplex.

The brand plans to launch at least ten new products in the next three years. Stay tuned for more updates to come as they roll out the OXO and potentially many more models to come.
