Aprilia ELECTRICa project

The Aprilia ELECTRICa project is a look towards the company’s vision to a future of all electric based models

Press Release | Aprilia (Piaggio Group)

The ELECTRICa project represents Aprilia’s vision of the mobility of younger motorcyclists in the near future. Aprilia, which has always been at the forefront of experimentation, targets younger generation riders for a fun riding motorcycle that fits any environment.

The ELECTRICa is the main project by Aprilia that will be dedicated to the next generation of riders. The project uses all the know-how made available by the Piaggio Group (of which Aprilia is a part), which has been working on electric propulsion since 1975, having presented a long series of vehicles that are ahead of its time as the MP3 Hybrid, the first hybrid scooter to the world.

According to Aprilia’s vision of mobility, two-wheelers will remain the winning solution to guarantee youngest riders fast, practical, green and fun in everyday journeys. Thinking of the motorcyclists of the future, the Noale-based company unveils at EICMA the new Aprilia electric model, a project that (perhaps) anticipates a lightweight e-motorcycle, with a strong urban attitude.

Compactness and lightness are among the key features of the Aprilia ELECTRICa, which, on the one hand, winks at the past by revisiting the triple headlamp cluster typical of all Aprilias and, on the other, adopts advanced solutions, like keyless system and LCD display.

Aprilia ELECTRICa is a newly conceived project, a light and all-electric motorcycle, with a fun and satisfying ride, to provide maximum freedom and pleasure even in use within the metropolises of the future.

The looks of the ELECTRICa project is unmistakably Aprilia. In the front, a modern interpretation of the triple headlight group stands out, typical of all Aprilia bikes. With sporty lines, compact dimensions and low height of the saddle from the ground for a comfortable ride. With both brake controls on the handlebar, the ELECTRICa facilitates a transition from scooters to motorcycle with ease.
