Niu Technologies reports its e-scooter sales volume results for the second quarter 2021.
Niu Technologies (NYSE: $NIU) reports an increase in unit sales, revenues and more, with their line of different Electric scooters, Niu offers different sub-models for each of their NQi, MQi, and UQi -series scooters.
The company continues to show amazing sales numbers, with increasing growth even compared to previous reports. NIU will aim to penetrate oversees markets, and continues do dominate locally in China.
During the second quarter of 2021 alone NIU sold 252,998 e-scooters, representing a 58.0% year-over-year growth. The number of e-scooters sold both locally and in international markets increased, with a 58.8% year-over-year growth in china and 34.8% growth internationally, selling 6,980 units.
The Company launched four new products in China, the F0, F2, F4 and C0 models in April 2021, out of which, F0 and F2 models have been mass produced and delivered in the second quarter 2021. The two models were welcomed by the local market which contributed to the sales volume growth.
NIU also continued fast retail network expansion and added 450 new stores in China during the second quarter 2021, totaling 2,366 NIU stores in China at the end of June.

Each series of every model either a “Sport model” or “GT”, with different motor sizes. The motor comes at 1.8kW or 3kW for a GT model, a top speed of 42mph (70km/h). The NIU electric scooters are backed by a battery pack of 60V 35Ah 2.1kWh (Optional dual battery) or a 21Ah 48V, 1kWh battery for the UQi model.
The estimated range for Niu scooters is anywhere from 45-65km for the Sport models, and about 70-80km Range, 100km @25km/h on the GT. Now, obviously going 25km/h is out of the question, but we can assume a 40-50 miles would be easily achievable. Niu also plans to expend their offering into full scale motorcycles with the RQI-GT, a powerful 30kW mid-mounter motor drive, with a bigger battery size expected to be 7kWh.
