Damon HyperFighter Colossus Unveiled, showing off an aggressive street-fighter design style on their HyperSport platform.
Damon HyperFighter Colossus Unveiled: Damon already put out teaser and announcements ahead of the official unveiling, which came just an hour ago as the company presents at the CES 2022 show in Las Vegas. No more short teasers or partial pictures, the HyperFighter Colossus is now a reality that will be sold in a limited amount of 100 units.
As the company releases their version for “a raw, muscular-silhouetted, electrifying streetfighter motorcycle”. The HyperFighter Colossus is an urban streetfighter sport bike that was built on Damon’s HyperSport platform, and utilizing the company’s additional technologies.
The Damon HyperFighter is expected to carry similar power to that of the HyperSport, with up to 200HP (150kW peak power) and running close to 200 Nm of torque. All of Damon’s motorcycles get a 0-60 mph time of under 3 seconds, and the Colossous will take a top speed of 170mph.
It’s expected to carry a range of 146 miles in combined riding (estimated), with a battery pack of 20 kWh, that will charge back up in 45 Mins (to 80% with DC Fast Charging) or in 2.5 hours (to 90% with a Level 2 -240V charger).
The design style of the HyperFighter lives up to its name, with an overall chopped up and stripped down version of the full fairing HyperSport. The HyperFighter has an adjusted seat, stretching higher then its predecessor, in addition to losing any fairing that wasn’t completely needed, Damon added custom paint and touches that add a lot to the looks.
With Sharper lines, unique looks and a limited unit capacity, the colossus will aim to win over the hearts of riders looking for a unique machine that you won’t come across every day.
HyperDrive is the monocoque-constructed platform by Damon, integrating the electric powertrain to the body of the motorcycle. The HyperSport line of motorcycles not only has its unique design through the monocoque body, but also includes technological developments by Damon, including CoPilot™ and Shift™, standard on all models.
The CoPilot™ advanced warning system assists the rider in recognizing and alerting danger, while Shift™, transforms the riding position between sport and commuter modes while in motion.
This stripped -down version of the HyperSport, brings a new feel, and brings with it a touch of scarcity with the limited production availability. With that, the Colossus will have a price tag of $35,000 MSRP, which puts it in the upper brackets of pricing.
- HyperDrive – The monocoque-constructed, 100% electric, multi-variant powertrain optimized for maximum performance, design and safety.
- CoPilot – 360˚ advanced warning system that uses radar, cameras and non-visual sensors to track the speed, direction and velocity of up to 64 moving objects around the motorcycle for unparalleled situational awareness.
- Shift – At the push of a button, patented electronic ergonomics allow riders to transform their riding position with adjustable handlebars position and a retractable windscreen to dramatically reduce wind resistance and increase long range comfort, all while in motion.
Damon Motors’ unveiling of the HyperFighter Colossus today, comes as the company successfully completed a $30M Series B funding round, and in adjacency to their announcement of a new manufacturing facility in Surrey, BC, Canada that will start producing in 2022.
