Electric Motion (EM) joins the first season of the new FIM E-Xplorer World Cup
Electric Motion (EM) joins the FIM E-Xplorer World Cup as a manufacturer ahead of the inaugural season, which commences in Q3 2022. The new category competition was announced just under a year ago, and already has been joined by dominant names in the electric off road space.
Lining up alongside M-TEC (Mugen), which we recently reported on joining the competition, as well as others yet to be announced. The French outfit’s innovative electric motorcycles will take on the competition over three rounds held in both urban and rural environments around the world.
Beginning in Q3 2022, the FIM E-Explorer World Cup will offer a competitive lab for the manufacturers of electric motorbikes. The racing outfits taking part will compete against a lineup of 20 top riders and 10 teams at three grueling circuits and off-road trails around the world.
In recent years, the additional off-road competitions were introduced, with the FIM EBike Enduro World Cup, the FIM E-XBike World Cup and the FIM Trial-E World Cup. This new category – E-XPLORER – racing for all electric off road 2-wheelers has been joined by top manufacturers in the space.

Founded by Philippe Aresten in 2009, Electric Motion first sketched an electric off-road motorbike as early as 2010, with development of their bike over the next decade and expanding its range models. The Electric Motion team is preparing for one of the biggest challenges of its history: competing in the all-electric, all-terrain FIM E-Xplorer World Cup.

Electric Motion will utilize the series to develop and advance its proprietary technology by competing with other top tier manufacturers, learning from the experiences on both rural and urban tracks. It will be used to develop products that appeal to a new generation of climate-conscious and adventurous riders who are eager to explore without damaging the environment.
